January Update

I haven't written in a couple of weeks, its amazing how life gets away on you.  Time is so precious and at times I feel like every minute is accounted for and is scheduled down to the final second, attempting to squeeze every awakened moment out of the day.  

I've sat back and tried to write but will look at the clock and think "I don't have enough time to put my thoughts down" or "My brain just doesn't have any more capacity other than to drool in front of the tv"  

January (at least for me) can be a time where I am tired all the time, trying to refuel the energy in my body, cleanse and purify myself.  
I love winter, all the snow and how bright it is, but last week did try my patience with the cold frigid temperatures.  I feel a bit house bound and lethargic from doing nothing but running from the house to the vehicle.  Today is the day its suppose to warm up so here I sit, typing away, looking outside at the sunshine and snow hoping that it does.

On another note, for those that read these regularly in my last blog I talked about how I was going to wake up and my first thought was going to be of thankful positive things.  
I am happy to report that the change of thought is profound!  
Not only do I wake with these thoughts but they travel with me through out the day and its what I think about as I fall asleep.  
What am I thankful for in my life?  What am I proud of?  What makes me happy?  
There is so, so much!  The more I look, the more I find.  It surrounds me and I feel whole, complete.  Its a wonderful feeling.

So even last week when temps dipped into the -30C's my thoughts kept going to balance, if we didn't know cold we would know heat.  If we had never felt sorrow we would truly know happiness.  If we had never experienced hate would we know how to love?

If you do nothing else, look at yourself in the mirror and see how incredibly perfect you are.  I'm not talking about shape or weight, but look at who you are, and what an amazing creature you are. What you can do, how you can move, see, touch and feel.  
Look past yourself, walk through your home and see everything you have, look past your home into your community and see all the beautiful things it has to offer.  Soon you can't help but to see how many wonderful things life has to offer.  

Look and see with your heart. 

Its like seeing a picture and remembering how you felt at the time.  Bring those feeling into every moment of your life and see how it can change.
