Why is it that people keep coming back to Yoga?  What is it about these physical movements that draw us in?
For me each practice brings me a calm state of mind, a deep sense if balance that I have never felt with any other form of exercise before.
But what truly brings me back time and time again is what yoga can do for people in need of healing.
The whole day I kept thinking of what type of class I would teach tonight.  I usually write down my sequence and follow it as close as possible.  As I brought pen to paper several times during the day nothing came.  I looked through my sequencing, and finally about 30 minutes before I was out the door to teach I jotted something down feeling like this is what I usually do, and went out the door.
As the people started filing into the class everything I thought I would do was forgotten for what was needed, and that was healing.
The community I live in is a very unique place, tight knit yet open to the diversity of people that come into it.  Just as joy is spread through out so is sorrow.
So the practice took on a mind of its own, embracing us all by opening our hearts and sending that energy out to all that needed it, within our space and into our community.

It was beautiful.

Its that feeling and that knowing that keeps bringing me back time and again.
